Class begins with students connecting to their hearts through breath with some light Yin yoga poses. After breathing and connecting students will receive Reiki while resting in savassana (resting pose) Reiki energy is the connection of love and light from above through the hands and heart of the practitioner to the student. Reiki helps to rebalance and calm the body and to clear the mind.

Reiki 1 certification
The healing journey starts for us at different times in our lives. Healing can take many different paths for each person. The healing for me truly started when I connected to Reiki. We are all here because there is healing that needs to be done. The healing internally for ourselves and externally for the world.
Reiki is love and energy. Another word for energy is prana or chi. Every living being on this planet is made up of energy. We have energy that we can not see, but we feel. We can not test love. We know it exists because we can feel love. Reiki 1 is about connecting to the love within and your own self healing. The awareness of energy and healing is cultivated when you take the Reiki 1 class.
A sacred space is created where students are invited to connect in a small group (limited to 6 students). During the eight hour class we will connect with one another on an exploration of energy. At the beginning of class, students will be led through a clearing chakra meditation and will learn more in depth about the energetic body (chakras). Specific techniques are used to connect the body to the earth, this is known as grounding. Students will learn how to use, protect, and clear their own energy and the space they are working or living in. You will learn to activate and cultivate the energy within you through the guidance of Reiki Master/Teacher, Jacalynn Willett. Completion of Reiki One will allow you to practice on friends, family, animals, and plant life.
Reiki 2 certification
The healing journey is one where we are always healing and evolving. The journey of Reiki unfolds for everyone differently. Once a student receives the Reiki One attunements, the inner and outer self-healing is cultivated. For those students who wish to continue with Reiki, a second class is offered. Reiki One is the pre-requisite for this class. Reiki One can be taken with any other practitioner and you can still take this class.
If you are looking to learn more about Reiki and perhaps start a practice, this class aligns with that idea. Reiki Two connects the student to a higher vibration and healing through the attunements they receive. The inner journey of self-healing continues. If the student wishes to share this energy, they may (with clients and others) or they can use this class for their own self-healing.

Students will receive a second set of attunements after the chakra clearing. Students will learn the Reiki symbols and about the specific healing uses of each symbol to connect deeper to the Reiki energy. Students will learn about long distance healing. We will discuss business ethics and how to start your own business (if you choose). We have a beautiful freedom to choose how we use Reiki. Reiki can be used for your own self-healing or shared with others.
